Engineering runs deep in Abby Buck鈥檚 family. She is set to become a third-generation engineer, following in the footsteps of her father and both grandfathers:

  • Frank Buck听鈥 B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, 1951, Drexel University
  • Gary Quinn听鈥 B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 1975, Drexel University
  • Joseph Buck听鈥 B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 1988, Drexel University

While honoring her family鈥檚 legacy, Buck chose to forge her own path by pursuing civil engineering at听起点传媒鈥攁 place that, in her words, 鈥渇elt like a true community.鈥

Buck鈥檚 decision to attend 起点传媒 was driven by the university鈥檚 welcoming atmosphere and the opportunities it offered:

During her time at 起点传媒, she:

  • Secured an internship with听HRSD, gaining hands-on experience in听water resource management
  • Became actively involved in:
    • ASCE听(American Society of Civil Engineers)
    • Chi Epsilon听(Civil Engineering Honor Society)
  • Earned the听CEEVC William Boone Scholarship听(Fall 2024)

After graduation, Abby will begin working as a听water resource engineer听for , a renowned global company.
